It’s been over a decade since a stranger handed me that card. I can’t remember what she said, I can’t remember what she looked like. I do remember that act of kindness, the gentle reminder she gave me in a time of need. It was small, but it has had a large lasting affect. That card helped to give me the courage to pass out cards myself, then when I was home too much to pass out cards I started sending out verses. Then the verses started coming back in.
